"Civil VFD"
The project was funded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy under the “Citizens Initiative” Program.
The subject of the project was carrying out qualitative research on the broadly understood citizen activity of the Volunteer Fire Departments from the Malopolska Region. Research was conducted using sociological methods (In-depth interview, focuses) among 100 VFD from Malopolska Region. Based on the research carried out the document called “Civic Standard of Action” has been prepared. This strategic document -model contains solutions whose implementation will contribute to increasing the civic competence of the VFD and their role among the local community. “Civic Standard of Action” was distributed to 1355 VFD from Małopolska Region together with the recommendation of the Board of the Voluntary Fire Brigade of the Republic of Poland of the Małopolskie Region on its implementation as a tool increasing their civic potential. Over 100 VFD from Małopolska Region has implemented this model with with providing training and advisory support in implementation. In order to disseminate the developed solutions achieved by the project's implementation, a project summation conference was organized.
